Having never previously met at tour level prior to 2025, the three clashes between Amanda Anisimova and Iga Swiatek proved to be among the most-discussed of the year. The American and the Pole then met for the second straight Grand Slam event at the US Open, and Anisimova turned the tables by picking up a quarter-final win.
