Lois Boisson etched her name in history at the Roland Garros 2025. The Frenchwoman, who entered with a 'Wildcard,' reached the semifinals of the Parisian Grand Slam, being the number 361 in the WTA ranking. This has led to several records. The first is that she joins Mónica Seles and Jennifer Capriati as the only tennis players to reach the semifinals in their first Grand Slam. The second is that she became the first tennis player of the Open Era to reach the Roland Garros semifinals with a 'Wildcard'. And last but not least, she is the youngest Frenchwoman (22 years and 9 days) to reach a Grand Slam semifinal since Amelie Mauresmo did it in Wimbledon 1999. |
