Daniil Medvedev ended his 882-day title drought with a stunning win at the 2025 Almaty Open.

Daniil Medvedev ended an 882-day title drought by winning his 21st ATP Tour crown at the 2025 Almaty Open, defeating Corentin Moutet 7-5, 4-6, 6-3. In doing so, Medvedev extended his remarkable record of winning every title in a different city, now with 21 titles in 21 unique locations. The victory was especially poignant as it was the first time Medvedev won a tournament with his wife and both daughters present, and he dedicated the title to his youngest daughter Victoria. This win not only marks a powerful comeback after six final losses since his last title in 2023 but also boosts his hopes of qualifying for the ATP Finals. Medvedev credited his recent resurgence to new coaching support and a renewed aggressive style, closing the intense match with strong serves and composure at critical moments.
